Would you have been able to use civil disobediance and non-violence?

I would have been able to use civil disobediance and non-violent protest to aid the Civil Rights Movement because I would have been led by a powerful leader, Marting Luther King. I would risk being jailed or attacked by police because the effect of my efforts combined with that of others would be integration and equality. Of course, I would be frightened by the police's uses of guard dogs and tear gas on protestors, but I would not retaliate with violence.
